What languages do you speak during a session?

Accepted Answer

I am a native Chinese (Mandarin) speaker and completely fluent in English, which allows me to provide a barrier-free experience for international clients and expats. I am also actively learning German (currently B1 level), so we can easily mix languages to ensure you feel perfectly comfortable and understood during our shoot.

I am not a professional model and I feel awkward in front of the camera. Can you help?

Accepted Answer

Most of the people I photograph are not professional models. My background in commercial and documentary photography means I know how to gently guide you, find the best light, and create a relaxed atmosphere. There is no stiff, forced posing—we will just have a good time, and I will capture you looking your natural best.

I want a nice portrait, but I actually have no idea what style or location I want. Can you help?

Absolutely. You don't need to have a fully formed vision before reaching out! During our initial chat, we will talk a bit about your personality, what the photos are for (e.g., professional use, personal branding, or just a gift to yourself), and the general vibe you like. From there, I will suggest a few different concepts—whether that’s a clean studio setup, a cozy lifestyle shoot in your home, or an urban outdoor location in Cologne. We will build the creative direction together.

I am very camera-shy and feel awkward posing. Is that a problem?

Accepted Answer

Not at all! It is completely normal to feel nervous. In fact, most of my portrait clients are not used to being professionally photographed. My approach is very conversational and relaxed. Instead of giving you stiff, forced poses, I use gentle directions and natural prompts. We will take our time, listen to some music if you'd like, and create a low-pressure environment where your true personality can shine through naturally. You don't need to know how to model; you just need to show up!

I am nervous because I don't know what to wear for my session!

Do not worry, I am here to help with styling as well. Once we decide on the mood and location for your shoot, I will share some general tips on what translates best on camera (like avoiding distracting patterns or heavy logos). The most important rule is to wear something that makes you feel genuinely confident and comfortable. If you are torn between a few outfits, you can always bring options to the shoot, and we will pick what works best together.

My dog is very energetic and won't sit still. Can we still do a pet photoshoot?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! As a "dog dad" to two very spirited Shiba Inus, I am completely unfazed by chaos. In fact, some of the best, most authentic photos come from letting your pet just be themselves. I have the patience and the technical experience to capture beautiful, high-quality moments, even if your dog is constantly on the move.

Yes! While I have standard rates for typical sessions (like a 1-hour portrait or pet shoot), every event and vision is unique. If you are planning an elopement, a multi-day event, or need custom landscape prints, reach out to me directly.
